Computer Tech L-1


SUMMARY:

The Computer Technician will be responsible for providing computer diagnostics and repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.

Take apart and re-assemble computer components and parts.

Resolve hardware technical issues within time schedule and provide the break and fix solution using an in-house system.

May manually set up computer systems and hardware and install or re-install software programs for computer users.

Other duties as assigned.

Builds and maintains a work environment that is positive and is supported by open feedback and two-way communications at all levels.

Keeps the warehouse organized and clean at all times.

Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment while supporting the company’s culture.

Responsible for fostering a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well-being of all associates.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education or Experience or Demonstrated Skill Set

Working towards completing A certification.

Still attending tech school.
Should have solid 1-2 years of repair experience (in computer repair?).

Worked in a low production PC-type environment.

Experienced in 1-2 OEM’s.

Knowledge of simple or repetitive component replacement such as LCD/HDD for multiple commodities.

Should have a working knowledge of different models of all major computer/electronics manufacturers.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Demonstrated skillset while working with Temp Agency


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Ability to clearly organize and categorize work priorities to complete work.

Demonstrated ability to read and follow written instructions and ideas.

Job requires the repeated and coordinated use of your hands, wrists, and fingers to use a computer keyboard, and other small handheld tools.

Requires hands-on, ambition, and drive to succeed - “Makes things happen”.

Goal-oriented and must be accustomed to achieving results through teamwork.

Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

Must be able to reach daily KPI/Hour metrics - Minimum KPI Standards of 1.20- 1.49 (able to meet within 90 days of employment).

Computer Technician L-2


SUMMARY:

The Assembly Technician L2 will be responsible for the replacement of parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.

May assemble and disassemble units.

May replace parts.

May be responsible for solving some hardware technical issues within time schedule.

Will need to document within the in-house system information about unit & parts.

Other duties as assigned.

Builds and maintains a work environment that is positive and is supported by open feedback and two-way communications at all levels.

Keeps warehouse organized and clean at all times.

Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment while supporting the company’s culture.

Responsible for fostering a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well-being of all associates.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education or Experience or Demonstrated Skill Set

Needs A certification or equivalency.

Must be able to read and write English.

Prefer to have 1 year of experience in Repair Depot.

Prefer to have worked in a low production PC-type environment.

Experience in simple or repetitive component replacement such as LCD/HDD for multiple commodities.

Should have a working knowledge of different models such as ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Apple, and Acer, etc.

Moderate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Demonstrated skillset while working with Temp Agency.

Motherboard Technician

SUMMARY:

The MB Repair Tech L3 is responsible for troubleshooting MB at component level.

The assignment will be ranging from doing diagnostics, isolating MB issues, replacing components, soldering, and fixing MB.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties not listed may be assigned.

Identify MB problem and narrow down the issue.

Check for CID and make sure the MB is repairable before the repair is performed.

Troubleshoot MBs and repair them.

Follow repair instructions and operational procedures.

Perform solder work on component level as needed.

Check for excessive flux residue and solder and clean using alcohol and cloth.

Check for cold and short-solder pads.

Check for Solder Bridge.

Check for shifted pads and pins.

Check for correct polarity.

Do quick test to make sure MB is good before sending it to the test team.

Organize good parts and non-conforming parts.

Organize repair tooling and mockups.

Meet and exceed KPI defined to meet the business and operational requirements.

Turn in KPI report on time, end of the working day.

Check and keep records for ESD Audit daily.

Utilize the company’s time to be efficient and productive. This is including punctuality from the break and personal matters.

When required, work assignments can be changed based on project needs like inspection, solder, testing, data input.

Other duties as assigned.

Be able to meet KPI 30/day.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience

High school graduate or equivalent. Prefer a college degree in a related electronics field.

Prefer over 6 Months experience in computer repair or related field.

Must have Excel knowledge and experience to read instructions and track data.



ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Need good analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Requires demonstrated ability to read and follow written instructions and ideas.

Must be able to read schematic, multi-meter, and oscilloscope.

Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter.
